The Dukes Dubai was criticised for not living up to the elegance of its sister property in London.
Luxury Travel Intelligence (LTI) a travel website has named two Dubai hotels as the 'worst luxury openings of 2017' in its year-end report.
Dukes Dubai and Five Palm Jumeirah were named by the members-only resource for affluent globetrotters as the worst ranked hotel openings of the year.
According to The Daily Mail "The Dukes Dubai was criticised for not living up to the elegance of its sister property in London while it said Five Palm Jumeirah had a shaky start."
Five Palm Jumeirah has been embroiled in a legal battle with the property's previous operator Viceroy Hotels since June 2017. This year, LTI visited 74 new hotels, and named 14 new hotels as "exceptional" properties. Topping that list was another Dubai hotel Bulgari Hotels and Resorts.
