Raymond, a fabric and retailing brand from India is seeking new shopper demographics in the Gulf. The brand is aiming to widen its appeal to the Arab shopper along with existing customer base in Indian Diasporas. The company is expected to double its retail presence from the current 20 plus stores within the next two years. It may look out for location within malls in the core markets namely UAE and Saudi Arabia. As part of the process, the UAE franchisee has been extended the rights for Qatar too.
Raymond has plans to subtly change its retail format with new generation of stores to be opened in the home market. It will bring similar changes in the Gulf market but with some customisation.
