USA’s single unit café concept Tea Lounge has recently signed a franchise agreement in Kuwait. The Brooklyn- based brand has signed a Kuwaiti businessman as its first franchisee in the country who plans to launch brand’s first Tea Lounge in Kuwait City shopping mall in the coming months. Incepted 12 years ago, Brooklyn, New York-based Tea Lounge’s concept has the café, entertainment and bar features. The brand started franchising recently and its cafés offer relaxed ambience, free wi fi facility to its customers. They also offer a wide variety of all day parts menu including signature items like eggspresso and Nutella breve. However, its business model has been tweaked for Kuwaiti market, where there will be no bar and food items will also be customised as per local culture and taste preferences. Moreover, the brand owner is looking forward to develop the brand’s presence throughout the Gulf region and the Middle East.
